Wedding Day Dues

Wedding season is upon us and with it come the most thought provoking question second only to “Do you take this man…?”  And that is, what in the world should I wear?  Well, the answer to that burning question depends on the time of the blessed event. For daytime weddings, do pale or bright hues, breathable light weight fabrics, and adhere to the manageable shoe rule which basically states if you can’t walk in’em, don’t fool wit’em especially if the nuptials is held outside. For evening weddings, do darker colors or colors that give a more after-five/semi-formal vibe ( as shown in the style perspective above). Things to avoid: revealing outfits, ultra-tight body hugging ensembles, or overtly casual outfit unless it’s the requested style flow, and NEVER EVER wear white, cream, ivory or any other variation of the color out of respect for the bride and her day. So the next time you find yourself attending a union of two souls, I strongly suggest you eat hearty and enjoy the free booze. Because after dropping a good penny on a gift and an outfit, you’ve paid your  share of the wedding day dues.
