This week post is dedicated to a dear friend who is a self described high/low chick because of her amazing ability to pair high end designer items with pieces from discounted stores. On numerous occasions I’ve seen this diva put together incredible ensembles that mixes Prada, Jimmy Choo, and Gucci with pieces from Ross or TJ Maxx. I salute divas like her because, like M’habiller, they are all about acquiring timeless pieces that can be rebooted into something fresh and new each time it’s worn. However, if wearing high end designer duds from head to toe is your thing, rock it! I’m all about praise and no shade. But for the rest of us, mixing the highs with the lows is a smart economical way to create incredibly stylish looks. So when shopping for a new look whether at Chanel or Marshalls, I highly advise not passing by the buy but seize the opportunity to work your high/low style.
