Tis the holiday season time to raise cups as you receive invitations to come out and turn up. The time and place were written with care, but you won’t attend cause yo’ closet is bare. Even if it is, it’s not a crime or sin and definitely not an excuse to spend the holidays in.
This week post is all about hitting up holiday gatherings both large and small. For some, the holidays can be a difficult time. Issues with family, finances, and affairs of the heart can place some into such a funk; they don’t even want to think about holiday parties much less finding ensembles to wear to them. But do not be deterred. Being in the company of close friends in an intimate setting is always a mood booster. Other times it’s fun to glam up for a formal event, where you can put your fabulous on display and if money is tight, consider renting a fabulous dress from Rent the Runway (refer to the low rent blog post). Fun times can also be had at after work gatherings ( especially if the company is picking up the tab) as it’s an opportunity to have a relaxing time with colleagues. So with all that said, I encourage you to make good on those invitations, because sometimes the best times are had when you’re out and about as oppose to spending the holidays in.
