Video may have killed the radio star but it didn’t put a scratch on the fashionistas. For years music and fashion enjoyed a rock solid symbiotic relationship. Then MTV exploded on the scene and like a low down side chic, the music video used her visual wilds to charm her way into our hearts and close and while tons of style inspiration can be gleaned from music videos, it’s important to know when to say when and where. Rocking barely there and scantily clad outfits are cool for videos shoots, but featuring these looks “out-chea”in these streets could be down right dangerous. So with that said taking style inspiration from music videos is a great way to express art, but always incorporate something that’s uniquely you. That way, video will never kill your style.
